Core X Drivers for windows not on site

Hello

I have a Core X Chroma RC21-01430 that was working great on windows 10. Recently upgraded to Windows 11 and now none of the USB ports work nor the . I have tried windows update like 400 times and removing from device manager than scanning for changes as well. Also t Always comes back “Unknown” as show in image. I have tried “Search for Driver” it just takes me to windows update which finds nothing. going around in circles.

I looked on Razer support here → Razer Core X | RC21-01310 Support and there are no drivers there only for mac. If I just had the drivers I could fix this issue.

Does anyone know Is there somewhere I can download the USB drivers on razer site? (or ASM media)

in image you can see in (A) missing devices. This use to be ASMedia USB Root hub (3 times) now it is just “Unknown Device”. However, in B you can see that the host controller is installed. Very strange

When I right click and select “Update Driver”: and that click automatically search for drivers it just takes me to windows update, which finds nothing and back to where I started

If I select “Browse computer” and let me select I went through all these choices here (took forever) but ASMedia USB root hub is not an option. I tried Generic USB hub also and it didn't work..

Is it with gpu installed in the enclosure? Did you check also thunderbolt software and check the enclosure is detected as usual? Sometimes you should check related hardware oem website as well on Egpu setting, the host laptop might also take the role concerning io since thunderbolt connection is involving host laptop pch controller.

Thanks for the quick response!

Yes the GPU is installed and working just fine. It's the ASMedia card which Razer provides in Core X that hosts the 4 USB ports, USBC, and ethernet ports that is not working. I even took out the card and re-seated it just in case not that I have moved or touched the eGPU it in a year. Interesting enough, everything works BUT the 4 USB ports so it's not the card itself and it was working fine before I installed Windows 11. I did check the ASM Media website and tried the drivers they offered but none of them were recognized.

I didn't think of looking for drives from Dell (Laptop is a dell 7510) because the card is not made by dell its made (or OEMed) by Razer. But it's worth a shot, thanks I’ll try that and report back.

Also I did find this but hesitant to do this as it might make things worse. I just would think Razer would have drivers available for their own products around for this type of issue?

I see. The ports It’s running fine but I’m with Razer corev2 housing 3070 twin Edge and Razer blade 15 2018 (for the first time since years) on latest windows 11 and I don’t see any unless unknown devices. Razer corev2 is older model, maybe try to roll back to windows 10 if it’s compatible issue with host laptop (dell) and io ports on core X chroma in 11 environment.

Normally one can just remove the devices from device manager and re-install. But I don’t have the drivers.. I loathe to reinstall everything easier to just buy a usb hub :) Seems crazy If I just had the drivers from razer for the card in the core X, I can fix this

Drivers is there a way to get the drivers @Razer?
