Core x with 2070 super - performance lackluster

Hi I have a 2018 blade 15 advance with 1070 Max Q recently got the Core X paired with a 2070 Super but am noticing FPS pretty much inline with the onboard 1070 was i expecting too much from the Core X - has anyone had similar issues and resolved them?

    Hi there! Can you share your setup? Also, please check if the GPU that the system utilizes is the one that you want to be used.

    turned out my 2070 was faulty - put in my old Vega 64 and things are working well

    things stopped working again today my vega 64 is now showing with error 12 in device manager not having the best experience with my razer core x :(
