Cortex not working | Razer Insider

So I was casually playing fortnite after not playing it for a while, I wanted to see where it was at, I used razer cortex because my frames would have been bad since I have a lot of apps, anyways I was play and all the sudden It gave me a message that the application has hung and will now close, which was wired because while that message was there fortnite was working fine, so I clicked ok then I got a message from Norton that said this application has been seized due to potentially unwanted activity upon further inspections and details the log said that I was running to many dependency's and has been terminated due to high amount's of ram usage even though it have 64 gigs of ddr4 so then I checked the log and saw it was at only 10.9 throughout my entire system when it happened to crash I played it again and got the same message and then that time I got a notification from windows defender with the same exact message and windows defender so I scanned the file via rkill scanner which is a very powerful tool that can detect and terminate malware and I came to conclusion with the same exact message so with 3 different trusted programs with the same message I knew that there was definitely something wrong with it so I tried using it with my other computer and it did happen to work, then I tried it on my brothers computer and it also worked so Its something on my side so if I can get help on how to fix this then that would be appreciated also while I was writing this I realized I should check the optimizations for the booster because It might have been something in there that I accidently checked I will give an update if it worked and writing this entire thing is pointless!!!
Hey there!

Thank you very much for sharing your issue with us here. My name is Michelle from the Razer Cortex Technical Support Team. I will be your technical buddy for today.

Could you please provide us with the following information for us to isolate the concern?

  • Could you please provide us with your Cortex logs? I have PMed you a simple guide on collecting and uploading your Cortex logs, please check it if you need my assistance.

  • Could you please search for 'Event Viewer', click on 'Windows Logs' > 'Application', search for 'Error' with the source '.NET Runtime', then. save the event by right-clicking your mouse and tapping 'Save Selected Events...'? You can share the file by Google Drive or One Drive. Please check the image attached.

We'll be looking forward to your reply soon.

Take care and have a great day!

Best regards,

Michelle Chang
