Deathadder Chroma USB disconection | Razer Insider

In the past six months or so my Deathadder Chroma mouse causes USB dropouts. I just wonder if anyone else has had this problem and knows what it is.

I plug in an old Microsoft mouse and I have no issues.

It happens mainly when I am browsing, when I mouse over things, I can play games for hours with it and it's not a problem.

If I have device manager open I see the whole USB train drop out and re initialize, as I said it only happens with this mouse.

Hi there! Thanks for initiating this thread. Were you able to test the mouse by connecting it to another USB port or computer? Does the issue happen while the Razer Synapse 2.0 is closed or disabled? If you are using a desktop PC, please connect the mouse to the rear USB ports and check if the behavior persists.

Sorry for the time between but I have been busy, I have tried it in every other USB port on my laptop and get the same problem, like I said if I use another mouse it is fine, I have found what seems to be a work around and that is to start my laptop with another mouse, let everything level out and then plug in the RAZER mouse and then it seems ok but if I boot the laptop with the RAZER mouse plugged in the dropouts are more prolific.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma, it's has been a great mouse and I have been waiting to get a new PC or laptop but the way the market is atm I am hanging out for crypto currency to collapse to make my purchase, if that ever happens 🙂. I know this mouse is getting long in the tooth and I am willing to get a new mouse now before a new machine and I really do want to get a new RAZER mouse but I don't want to get one and find it does the same thing whether or not it is this mouse or my laptop but it does "feel" like an issue with acceleration and falling over when switching tasks. I am still running Win7 Pro and perhaps there was something that patched the problem in as Pro is still getting updates.

Thanks for connecting the mouse to your laptop. Did you install the Razer Synapse on that computer too? It seems like a hardware issue. Anyhow, this is an isolated issue. If your mouse is still within its warranty period, have it replaced by your reseller. I’ll be locking this thread now.
