Deathadder elite CTRL + Scroll changes volume | Razer Insider

Hi there and thanks for your time and effort

I’ve been enjoying my Deathadder Elite mouse for several years, and I still like using it.

However, I recently bought a new PC (Windows 11) and when I now use the combination CTRL & the scroll wheel it changes the playback volume. I don’t want this to happen, I’d like it to perform other functions (for instance zoom in and out in chrome and MS office),

I've tried google (and searching this forum and support) and have yet to find a solution for this.

Possible solutions offered that I have tried:

  • Press the DPI button for a few seconds
The deathadder doesn't have a dpi button but rahter 2 (sensitivity up and sensitivity down). I've tried holding both buttons down for a few seconds to no avail (not both at the same time)
  • Updating/reinstalling the drivers
Tried to update the drivers, tried uninstalling them (tried uninstalling the mouse). It just reinstals and keeps the key combo as volume change

Maybe I'm missing something, maybe I'm overthinking and there's a simple solution. If anyone here would have a solution to this, I would be much obliged.

I have the same problem and found the same solutions.

DPI hold for 3 seconds solution was for a different problem in the linked post. It was for when your scroll wheel changes playback volume even without holding ctrl.  So that answer was likely not going to be helpful. Apparantly no one has an answer for this
