I’m using a Razer DeathAdder V2 X HyperSpeed, connected via its dongle. On my Windows PC, it works perfectly, smooth and responsive. However, when I connect it to my Mac Mini M1 (running the latest macOS), the cursor movement becomes very laggy and not smooth at all.
The setup is identical on both systems, same USB hub, same monitor, same resolution, and same refresh rate — but the performance difference is significant.
Could this be a driver or compatibility issue? I can manage without changing DPI directly from the mouse buttons, but I’d really like to achieve the same smoothness and responsiveness I experience on Windows.
Is this a known issue with macOS, and is there any fix or workaround? Or is this mouse simply not fully optimized for Mac environments?
For reference, I’ve experienced the same problem on a macOS 15 (Sequoia) as well.
Please advise.
