Hello everyone.
I’ve been a loyal Razer user since the original Razer Viper (which I think I still have somewhere). Over the years, I’ve used — and continue to use — many of your products, always with the excitement and quality I associate with the Razer brand.
Recently, however, I “upgraded” from the DeathAdder V2 Pro to the DeathAdder V3 Pro, and unfortunately it has been the worst decision I’ve made regarding a Razer product. I purchased the mouse from Amazon at a good price, but it arrived missing both the dongle and the USB-C cable. Amazon refused to take responsibility, so I had to spend another £40 for replacements — but honestly, that has turned out to be the smallest issue on the list.
The DeathAdder V3 Pro has been extremely disappointing. I never expected to say this about a Razer device, but I genuinely feel that even older models like the Copperhead or the Viper could outperform this mouse.
Yes, it’s lightweight, but something about it feels wrong for a gaming mouse. There’s very little grip, and it sometimes slips from my hand. Worse, the mouse randomly disconnects mid-game. I have to turn it off and back on, then wait 2–3 minutes for it to reconnect — even when it’s connected directly via USB-C. Using the dongle doesn’t help either; with the dongle placed only 15–20 cm away, in direct line of sight, the mouse still disconnects.
I’ve tried everything: clean reinstalling the software, testing on multiple PCs — the issues remain exactly the same.
The only problem is now that i’m stuck with this bad joke as the V2 Pro has been gifted to my daughter and she loves it .. like i did :)…
So, for anyone considering an upgrade from the DeathAdder V2 Pro to something newer: avoid the V3 Pro, or at the very least, do not blind-buy it.
