After 3 years of ownership of the v2 version, I finally found the fix to this problem. (well at least for me) I've found that the death adder doesn't like usb 3.0 and 3.1’s, so disconnected everything from the 3.0 ports and connected everything plus the mouse to the 2.0 ports and its fixed it for the last 1 month and counting

(Regarding Deathadder V3 wired)

My guess is the copper wire inside, it may be “split” and wiggling or (in my case the more consistent “fix” until warranty accepts my inquiry) wrapping the cable around the mouse gets it working again.

As in; I wrapped the cable around the mouse and put it into the box to send it in, razer wanted a proof video so I untagled it again and now it works fine lol.

My guess is that the contact of the copper inside is lost and by bending it around on accident it may bend just right to reconnect...

I had this exact issue right out of the box with a brand new mouse.

In my case, it turned out to be a two-part problem: first, the mouse cable was picking up electromagnetic interference from sitting right next to my headphone amp. Second, the DeathAdder requires a very stable 5V current from the USB bus, and because my Fosi K5 Pro DAC/amp draws a lot of power, it caused slight voltage drops on the USB rail. That was enough to make the mouse briefly drop connection.

i also changed mouse pad since it was hairy grimy and kinda grose.
