When trying to update my Deathadder v3 pro with the firmware released today (v2.00.03_r1 https://rzr.to/PwFn7g) I get the error message that Synapse or some other software is running and needs to be closed before I can update.
Thing is, Synapse is not running, all Razer background processes are shut down as well as all services.
I tried installing the update in windows safe mode and with a different pc, no luck.
The dongle update (v1.03.00) went through just fine.

Have you already tried rebooting your PC and check for Synapse updates for further isolation? You can also try using a different USB port and reinstall the mouse’s driver. Found a solution. Remove synapse 3. Reboot. Then in the device manager, completely remove the device with the mark complete removal of Dethadder 3 pro in the HID menu. Reboot. Install Synapse 3 by downloading the version from the website. Reboot. Make sure that synapse 3 sees the device. Start updating according to the instructions. From the 2nd time in exactly this sequence I achieved a successful update.

The problem is that when the firmware starts, the device is overridden. I didn't succeed the first time. GL

My DAV3 Pro just refuses to update, and since my Hyperpolling Dongle WAS able to update I can’t connect my DAV3 Pro to it anymore.

Then I tried it again on my gaming computer with Win 11 23h2. I’m deleting specifically to HID devices; I deleted almost everything for the first time. Then I removed only the mouse and keyboard.

On my PC (also Windows 11 23H2) in device manager I have two entries under HID and two under ‘Mice and other pointing devices’ that match the DAV3, I’ve tried different combinations of removing them with no luck unfortunately.

Step 2 of the tool removed a bunch of drivers. I tried updating the firmware after they were removed and it worked.

Got it to work.
1. Disconnect all Razers
2. Uninstall all Razer softwares & *clean drivers

3. restart
4. connect Razer mouse, wait 1 minute or until its name is recognized in Windows Devices (Bluetooth, even if wired)
5. Do the same 4. for all Razers including dongles
6. Install Synapse (I installed Synapse, Cortex, and THX at the same time)
7. wait a bit until Synapse recognizes all devices
8. try install firmware again
After all steps, i recommend the check version of driver in device manager.
My version is 10.0.15063.0

Windows likes to install its driver from 2017. And make two devices.
