I’m sad to say that the Deathstalker keyboard drops connection for me aswell. I Don’t use synapse, but I notice the loss of connection from flickering numlock light: when connection drops, numlock light also goes out and when the connection re-established the light comes back on.

I use the keyboard on my lap on a recliner and I think my issue is, that the wireless receiver of the keyboard is located in the middle on the keyboard on the backside and when on my lap, my body blocks the signal.

I can easily reproduce the connection issues by moving the dongle further away and putting the keyboard on my lap. I can reconnect the keyboard by lifting it off my lap.

I also have basilisk mouse, and that never had any connection issues.

I have exactly the same problem. And with a Basilisk mouse. Although I run synapse.

i feel like the metal shell is a factor here, and the cutout for the antenna is too small and the  combo kills the range.

i have zero problems when I move my rig into my office and have the keyboard much closer.

There seems to be a new firmware for the Deathstalker: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6249

Just installed it. Testing it out

I’m not expecting much, but I’m hopeful.

And is it fixed?

I also have problems with getting the keyboard get in standbye sometimes, and it drains the battery, and the delay in waking up after a couple of minutes idle is really frustrating, that you first need to touch a key and then can type while you want to type immediately.

Yeahh,

I feel like it’s a little bit more reliable now, but still far from perfect.

I’ve had the issue since I bought the keyboard 2 years ago. I received replacement dongle and still having issues. Very frustrating. Since then I have been using multi-pairing with my mouse dongle as that is the only way to have reliable connection. However, now with Synapse 4, I can’t control RGB when it was fine in Synapse 3 when using multi-pairing. Main selling point and still broken….

I seem to have resolved the issue for my setup. I have raised the keyboard off the desk a bit by putting two ceramic coasters under each of the back legs, raising the keyboard about the thickness of a mobile phone higher than if I didn’t have the coasters there.

I’m using the keyboard with an Orochi v2, so on my PC I have both connected to the keyboard dongle (I also have both connected to the second dongle (mouse dongle) which I use on my Xbox, so when the Xbox is off and PC on, they both use the 2.4Hz keyboard dongle connected to the PC, and vice versa, when the PC is off and Xbox is on, they both use the 2.4Hz mouse dongle connected to the Xbox).

So far, no issues in both my PC and Xbox when using the keyboard and mouse. I believe CreemSodah is correct with the metal shell and the antenna being an issue, and for me raising the keyboard up slightly allows a stronger signal between keyboard and dongle.

i have mine since march 2023. same issue when dongle and keyboard are a little bit than 3 meters away from each other. tried also over  one dongle from my razer basilisk v3 pro mouse, same issue on the keyboard. mouse works perfectly. again separated. all workarounds with uninstall and reinstall software done. only extension cable, to put the dongle near to the keyboard, brings a bit improvement. but honestly how does it looks when i have a wireless keyboard and all cables come ner as 1 meter to the keyboard and lying around in the room? missed the function as a wireless keyboard.

I’ve been using the keyboard (Deathstalker V2 pro) in the wired mode and was having intermittent issues but seemed to have found a potential solution and would like to hear from others if it works.

1: Go to system configuration from start menu (search bar) of windows

2: Click the services box on the top

3: Check box hide microsoft services

4: Disable Razer Game Manager Service 3 and Razer Elevation Service then restart PC

I get a few UAC admin prompts when restarting and have still been using keyboard in the wired mode but have not experienced the issue since doing this. Haven't tried the wireless mode but will try to test it soon.

Update: After testing for about a day with the wireless still having the same issue so I guess I just have to use the keyboard in wired mode

Have you guys tried using the wireless USB extender I have it connected to my PC with the cable they have provided and have had no issues so far though I am paranoid and have moved the extender as far away from my PC as possible
