Default Lighting when Synapse 3 is not turned on | Razer Insider

This issue is making me crazy.

I am about to return my new Razer mouse (Basilisk V3 Pro X Hyperspeed) and keyboard (Blackwidow V3 Pro).

When a Razer product is NOT connected to Synapse 3, the product’s lighting defaults to spectrum cycling.

The issue is that there seems to be no way to change that behavior.

I will not even go into the fact, that users might not like spectrum cycling or simply want to retain their last chosen color profile. No, the bigger issue here is with wireless devices (like mine) that use BATTERY power. I keep my mouse’s lighting turned off, and my keyboard lighting is almost always off as well (and when I turn it on, it is on 2% power). So what happens when the Windows account is signed out and the PC user is obviously away from the PC? Synapse is closed and the spectrum cycling lighting is turned ON, unnecessarily draining the battery for hours. I don’t think I need to explain any further why this is extremely bad and needs to be fixed ASAP. As far as I understand, Synapse 2 even had this feature (configure the lighting when Synapse 2 is not turned on) and it was removed from Synapse 3!

Now, when the PC is shut down, my devices’ lighting is properly being turned off (except once when the keyboard decided to enter spectrum cycling for some reason).

At the very least, the same needs to happen for all devices in wireless mode, when the Windows account is signed off.

Even better, the user should be able to configure what happens (retain last lighting profile/turn off/change to another profile etc.).

What I would like to know:

  1. Is there currently any solution to this problem?
  2. Does Razer know this problem exist and are they at least working on a solution?
  3. Why was this feature removed from Synapse 3 if it already existed in Synapse 2?

I am extremely frustrated with this. I can see that many people have been complaining from this issue for a while and there has been no solution. And no, simply turning off the device from its power button is not a solution, I bought wireless devices for convenience, I don’t want to be turning them both on and off every time I sit down and get up. Please, Razer, fix this so I don’t have to return my mouse and keyboard and so I can enjoy them instead.

Thanks.
