I gave up and went too buy a replacement, however seeing as a replacement is $79 and only available in North America (I'm based in Europe), I went looking for third party replacement options.
I found a suitable one that worked just fine, but unfortunately gave off quite bad static so that had to be returned. However in the meantime the original dud seemed to start working again.
I wanted to test to see if it's actually working and have HWMonitor running and the lowest VID figure shows a minimum 20% of the max so maybe that suggests there is still a problem. But that's just me guessing. My questions:
- Is there a way you can properly check that the adapter is working consistently?
- Does anyone have a good adapter suggestion that wouldn't cost me over $100 to purchase?
