Defective 65W power adapter options
I have the original RBS from 2016 and recently the 65W power adapter decided to intermittently stop working. I went to Razer Support but got an absolutely awful agent who had no idea.
I gave up and went too buy a replacement, however seeing as a replacement is $79 and only available in North America (I'm based in Europe), I went looking for third party replacement options.
I found a suitable one that worked just fine, but unfortunately gave off quite bad static so that had to be returned. However in the meantime the original dud seemed to start working again.
I wanted to test to see if it's actually working and have HWMonitor running and the lowest VID figure shows a minimum 20% of the max so maybe that suggests there is still a problem. But that's just me guessing. My questions:

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with our Support Team. Please send over the ticket number via PM so I can get a better understanding of what previously transpired and take the necessary action. That said, it would be rather difficult to test if the adapter is working properly and I personally wouldn't recommend doing so for your own safety.
Having said that, you can always look into third party replacements as long as they have the same specs. But that would be the more difficult part since it's a hit and miss type of thing. Here are the specs that you should be looking for:

- Input voltage range: 100V - 240V
- Input current range: 2A maximum
- Input frequency: 50 - 60Hz
- Output voltage: 20V
- Output current: 3.25A
- Total: 65W
