my razer deathadder essential is supposedly already registered and i cant connect it to my PC. i got it from a friend and now it wont register

If it’s used and registered before, then you cannot register it again on other account.
Be sure, you have Synapse 3 installed, and mouse is connected to motherboard directly (at least USB 3.0 port). If you have valorant installed, then remove Riot Vanguard anti-cheat software as it may block Razer devices to be recognised in Synapse.

Did you ever figure out how to fix it? I have the same problem with my mouse.
