Good evening,

I recently purchased a BlackShark V3 Pro Xbox, but I am exclusively a PC user. I wanted to know if there are any differences whatsoever between the two versions, particularly in terms of audio quality, microphone quality, etc.

According to the specifications, I know that, for example, the PC version has a 48 kHz microphone sampling rate, but the official specifications for the Xbox version don't mention anything about this.

I would therefore like to know what the situation actually is, and whether the PC version performs better on PC than the Xbox version when used on PC.

Thank you very much.

Hi fastVividCerisecast430,

We are thrilled to have you as our customer. The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro Xbox and  Razer BlackShark V3 Pro (for PC, consoles and mobile phones.) editions are functionally identical in audio and microphone hardware performance when used on a PC. The only  2 differences:

  1. The Xbox wireless USB dongle includes a hardware compatibility switch enabling native support for Xbox consoles alongside PC, whereas the standard PC dongle lacks official Xbox console security chips (though it still works on PC, PlayStation, and Switch).
  2. Minor cosmetic differences, such as accent stitching color or branding details on the earcups, distinguish the console-branded editions.
