Display Issues After Windows 11 Update

After updating my razer blade stealth 13 (2019 model) to windows 11, I have two consistent issues regarding display.

First, I cannot connect to external monitors. Here is what I have tried so far:

  1. Multiple adapters (USB C to HDMI) on both ports on laptop, multiple cables, and verified the external monitor works because I use my work laptop connected to it.
  2. Display drivers uninstalled, reinstalled, and fully updated.
  3. (Not sure this helps) Restored BIOS defaults.

Second, I cannot adjust the brightness of my screen anymore. I adjust the brightness slider, but it doesn’t change.

There has also been a consistent update in Windows update regarding Intel Display, that never can install (Intel Corporation - Display - 26.20.100.7463 - Install error - 0x80070103). I have a feeling this is related to the issue.

Please, anyone that can help or have ideas outside of “your drivers are out of date”, typical YouTube solution nonsense. This has been going on for about 3 - 4 months now. Given my screen is small (13”), not having a monitor makes using this powerful laptop a nuisance.

Hi! I was having the same issue with same laptop. Uninstall the basic display driver, go to Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and scan your device in there. Install the graphic driver available, that worked to me.

Have you tried installing the Intel drivers directly from the Intel website? Install the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, and let it detect and install.

Hi

It sounds like the issue you are experiencing may be related to driver compatibility with Windows 11. Since you have already tried updating and reinstalling the display drivers, there are a few other steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check for Windows updates: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is fully updated. This may resolve any compatibility issues with your display drivers.

  2. Check for firmware updates: Go to Razer's website and check for firmware updates for your Razer Blade Stealth 13. There may be a firmware update available that resolves the issue.

  3. Contact Razer support: If the issue persists, contact Razer support and explain the issue. They may be able to provide further assistance or recommend a solution.

  4. Check the Windows Event Viewer: You can check the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages related to display or driver issues. This may help identify the cause of the problem.

  5. Try a clean install of Windows: If all else fails, you may want to consider doing a clean install of Windows 11 on your Razer Blade Stealth 13. This will wipe all data from your laptop, so be sure to backup important files and data before proceeding.

I hope one of these steps helps resolve your issue.

This helped with all issues!

hello i am having trouble updating my razer synapse

i updated 3 times for my mouse mousepad and headset

but when i try to to update it for my keyboard which is a Black Widow v4 pro it doesn’t let me at all

i have  no idea why

I tried SO many things and nothing worked! So tl;dr: What works for me now is Hiding the update from Windows Update!

  • download the Show and Hide Updates tool from microsoft:
    https://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab
  • Run it, hit next, select Hide
  • check the updates you want ignored
  • let the tool finish enverything
  • restart
  • go to Windows Update again (Win+I, select Windows Update from the bottom left or Hit Win-key, type “win up” and Windows Update should appear.
  • The offending update might STILL appear!!, DON’T throw the machine out of the window yet!
  • Let it retry and check for updates again.
  • Voilà

Oh long version what didn’t work for me:

surely some more. I had this pesky thing FOR YEARS!!
