Does a Razer System Image restore (via USB stick) completely wipe the drive (in case of a rootkit virus?)

See title. I'd like to know if a Razer recovery through a USB stick does a “diskpart clean” on the drive before copying the new Windows installation or not. I may have caught a rootkit / kernel virus and just want to be sure it's gone. Since SHIFT+F10 (opening CMD) doesn't work in the Razer recovery wizard, I wasn't able to do diskpart clean myself.
