TLDR: Does the Razer Thunderbolt 4 dock pass through monitors to the GPU or are they handled via onboard graphics, if so how does this work with AMD?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi All,
I have a question regarding the thunderbolt dock and was wondering if any of you can help me. Like many of you I am currently working from home at the moment and after a year of unplugging and re plugging my setup from my work laptop to my pc, I've had enough and set out to fix this issue...
I was looking into docks and would like to know if I purchase the Razer Thunderbolt 4 dock along with an expansion card for my PC such as the ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 expansion card, would the display be rendered on my GPU? So could I game from the dock plugged into the dock? Has anyone tried this approach?
Thanks in advance

I game on my monitors using the Thunderbolt 4 Chroma dock and my Razer Blade Advanced 15 11th gen system just fine. It intelligently switches from the integrated to the Nvidia GPU based on process. Only the game itself will utilize the Nvidia GPU when required. The desktop will still remain rendered by the integrated GPU. I am not sure how the expansion dock would affect this process or if you would be able to plug it into the dock, or if it would be required to be plugged in directly to the system.
