Dongle lost its mouse and won't connect

As you can see in this photo, my dongle is hallucinating a second mouse that it is trying to connect to and thinks is offline. At the same time, my current mouse will only function when hardwired and will not connect to the dongle. How can I get the dongle to stop hallucinating and reconnect to my current mouse?
