Double typing with Blackwidow V3 Pro Wireless | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I bought this keyboard in September 2021 from a local reseller and since then it has had intermittent double typing issues pretty much straight out of the box. My version has the Nordic layout and yellow switches. At first I thought it was some software issue with my last pc, but since then I've switched computers and the issue still persists.

I thought maybe the issue is with using a USB hub, but I've tried connecting it straight into the computer and nothing makes a difference. I've tried installing-reinstalling drivers and Razer software, switching USB ports, trying different connection methods, using keyboard with both synapse running and closed, all of it over the course of the months and tried to find a solution to fix it several times, but nothing seems to work. Firmware and Synapse/Central is always up-to-date.

Double typing occurs with quite random keys (usually some specific alphabet keys), but haven't noticed it happening with Enter and Spacebar for example. It doesn't look like there is anything wrong with the switches when visually looking at them and they are not dirty. Some days are better and some days I can't type a single sentence without having to constantly hit backspace.

So far, I've just adapted and got used to hitting backspace a lot to fix my text, because I like how the keyboard looks visually and the palm rest is super comfortable. But I think I'm just about ready to throw it in the trash and get something else like a Logitech G915 instead. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

EDIT: Also opened a support ticket for this case.
