Driver Issues for Razer Core X | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I've owned a Core X for a little over half a year now and it has caused nothing but problems for me. Immediately upon opening it out of the box, I followed the instructions and did everything I was told, except when I went to install the drivers for the Core X, it took me to a page that no longer existed. I didn't think much of it because, at the time, everything seemed to be working fine.

However, the main problem I have experienced is that any time I try to switch to my dedicated GPU in my Razer Blade Stealth 13 (2020), device manager shows an error with my dedicated GPU and I have to uninstall it, delete the drivers, reinstall the drivers, and restart my laptop. This happens every single time I unplug my laptop from my Core X. For a while, this process became standard and I was able to get used to it. Recently, my battery life has dropped from around 12 hours to 1-2 because of, once again, driver issues. I've tried solving all of this on my own for 7 months, but I'm open to anything at this point. I've tried installing Razer Synapse 2.0 because I saw that it's compatible with the Core X, but Synapse 2.0 didn't recognize any of my devices. I've tried using the GPU switcher that the Core X instructions direct the user to download, but that doesn't even work correctly anymore. I feel like the Core X drivers (if they even exist) might solve the problems I'm facing by perhaps switching the drivers my laptop uses when I switch GPUs. However, I have yet to find any information online regarding Core X drivers.

Where do I find the drivers for the Core X? Do they even exist? Is owning an EGPU always going to result in driver issues or is there a way to solve these issues I keep experiencing? My issues are not with the EGPU performance, but the problems it causes for my laptop.

My Razer Core X model number is: RC21-0131

My laptop model number is: RZ09-03102 (I'm pretty sure)
Hi urbanMOONSTONETan422,

Can you PM me the serial number of your laptop and the Razer Core X so I can validate their models and check for other steps to help you resolve the issue? I may also need to start a case so the relevant team can look into your concern for advanced resolution. Thanks!
