Electra V2 USB not being recognized by my pc

so i plugged in a pair of electra v2 headphones into one of my USB ports and...nothing happens. i don't get prompted to install synapse (though i did install it anyway via the website) and i dont get any options to switch to the headphones in audio options. it seems that my PC is unable to recognize the USB. i plugged it into another port and i get the same problem. i plugged it into a different PC and still the same problem. when i check "device manager" it says, "unknown USB device (invalid configuration descriptor). i haven't had that issue with other USB devices. is my PC (windows 10 laptop) simply incompatible with the headphones?
