External Display - wake from sleep

Been struggling w/ this issue. My Razer laptop is connected to an external display via USB-C, this ex-display is set as 'main display' and 'only display' hence the laptop display is blacked out / not use. Laptop lid (under settings) is set to 'do nothing' when closed. Issues I am experiencing is that when the lid is fully closed, laptop wake from sleep via keyboard / mouse stroke, the external display will not get any signal and I have to manually open the laptop lid and go to settings to manually choose to use external display (display 2 or whatever....) only, then everything will be ok. But say if I leave the lid slightly open (not fully closed) and 'only display' via the external monitor, when waking from sleep, everything will work fine, external display works and laptop display blacked out, exactly what I want. Am I missing something ? how can I still have the 'external display' as the main monitor while the laptop display 'blacked out' / 'not use' with the lid closed while wake from sleep? Seems everytime when lid is closed and waking from sleep, laptop will 'forget' what my previous setting was (again I only want external display) and would go back to use laptop display.

That's odd. Did you update the laptop's graphics driver, including its operating system? Allow me to initiate an investigation by sending your laptop's serial number via PM. I'll be locking this thread to curb our conversation privately.
