after 30 years of Mac and Linux I finally bought a Windows gaming PC with a 3080.



I have connected a Aus tuf vg27aq that has a max refresh rate of 165hz.



The issue is Windows 11 is not displaying the names of the external monitors just generic pnp monitor.



In the windows display settings the names are displayed correctly but the max Hz for my Asus is 144hz and not 165hz. And btw if I select 144hz the display just goes black.





Any ideas?
