First Impressions Razer Software | Razer Insider

Just registered yesterday when my Tartarus V2 arrived. Later the same day, I tried using it, and gave up until such time as I would find the depth of patience and peace of mind to do so.

- Synapse 3: Unlike other commonly used tools, the interactions with buttons on images is not the direct and easiest way to assign keys, in fact, it does not work. What does work is opening the side menu, which does not appear by default, and finally navigating that while largely ignoring the fancy controller graphics.

- Razer software: Installation results in the software loading on boot without prior request for permission to do so, acceptable but not optimal. Worse, there is no option in Settings to turn off automatic loading of the software, requiring it to be disabled in Task Manager. This gives Razer a definite feel of being entirely user unfriendly, mandating its own needs without any concern for the user or the system it is on.

- Controller: Goodness gracious, what a terribly unusable thumb pad (D-pad). Its axes are oriented strangely, and getting it to work with character movement in a game is a tremendous chore.

I will continue to experiment with this, the very first HW ever purchased from your company, but things do not bode well. I expect to return the merchandise soonest, barring some miraculous opening of the heavens and bestowing of grace upon that truly gosh-forsaken, stiff, poorly operating thumb pad, the heart of any such device.
Hi. Thanks for no support! I dumped the Tartarus V2, returning it to the seller. I henceforth commit to never, ever allowing another piece of Razer equipment or software into my home.
