Flash light / torch not working & camera poor quality

My Flash light / torch stops working all the time and to resolve it I need to restart the phone. I know this is a standard Windows fix but hey, this is an android phone? Also, the camera resolution is high but the quality is only a little better than my old Nokia 3210i. I took it in the store and compared it with the new one and its the same. What's up with that?
