Dear Razer Customer Relations / Support Management,

I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the unacceptable standard of customer service I experienced during my recent support case involving my Razer Viper V3 Pro, with particular emphasis on the conduct and quality of assistance provided by your representative, Francis.

I respectfully request that this complaint be reviewed by a supervisor or Customer Relations Manager, rather than being redirected to the representative whose handling of my case is the subject of this complaint.

1. Background of the original support case

I initially contacted Razer after my Viper V3 Pro developed a progressively worsening metallic noise from its scroll wheel after approximately nine months of normal use.

The device had never been dropped, exposed to liquids, disassembled, or subjected to accidental damage or misuse.

I cooperated with your support team, provided the requested information, explained the circumstances surrounding the defect, and made myself available to supply additional evidence.

My initial interaction was with a representative named Nikki, who requested information regarding potential accidental damage and my contact details.

After providing the requested information, my case was subsequently handled by Francis.

2. Repeated requests for information already provided

Despite having previously explained how the issue developed, Francis requested further clarification regarding when and how the defect occurred.

While I fully understand that technical investigations sometimes require additional information, I found it disappointing that I had to reiterate details already communicated during the same support case.

Nevertheless, I cooperated and provided another explanation.

The situation subsequently progressed to a refusal of direct warranty assistance because BRACK, the established Swiss retailer from which I purchased the product, was not recognized as an authorized Razer reseller.

Although I disagreed with the outcome, I understood that your representatives were operating under company warranty policies.

I therefore contacted BRACK directly.

The retailer promptly approved my replacement request and arranged for a replacement unit to be provided before requiring the defective product to be returned.

The original product issue was therefore successfully addressed by the retailer.

3. My subsequent feedback regarding Razer's customer service

Following this experience, I contacted Razer again to express my disappointment with the overall handling of my case.

I explained that my dissatisfaction was no longer exclusively related to the defective product or the warranty policy itself.

It concerned the standard of customer service, the repeated exchanges, the lack of a satisfactory resolution directly through the manufacturer, and the considerable difference between the assistance provided by Razer and that provided by my retailer.

I explicitly communicated that this experience had fundamentally damaged my confidence in Razer and that I no longer intended to purchase products from your brand.

This was serious customer feedback, submitted in good faith.

4. Francis's final response – The primary reason for this formal complaint

What followed was, in my opinion, an exceptionally poor example of customer service.

Rather than meaningfully acknowledging the substance of my complaint, Francis responded with what appeared to be a generic, pre-written message thanking me for my "suggestion".

The response then proceeded to explain that Razer could not immediately implement changes involving new products, technologies, product enhancements, advertising campaigns, marketing plans, or even new product names.

It also referred me to Razer's legal terms and conditions.

I must ask: what possible relevance did any of this have to my complaint?

I had not proposed a new product.

I had not submitted a business idea.

I had not requested technological improvements, advertising changes, or marketing initiatives.

I had submitted a detailed complaint explaining why Razer's customer service had caused me to lose confidence in the company.

Receiving a response that appeared to have been copied from an unrelated customer feedback template was profoundly disappointing and, frankly, disrespectful.

I cannot establish whether Francis personally selected that response or whether it resulted from an internal support process. However, the fact remains that the message I received was entirely disconnected from the concerns I had raised.

It gave me the impression that my complaint had not been properly read, understood, or taken seriously.

After investing my personal time in explaining the situation throughout several exchanges, I consider that level of attention unacceptable.

5. Why I consider this a serious customer service failure

I understand that customer support representatives must follow established procedures and company policies.

I also understand that individual agents cannot independently override warranty eligibility requirements.

However, neither of these circumstances excuses sending an irrelevant response to a legitimate customer complaint.

At the very least, I expected:

  • An acknowledgement of the actual concerns raised.

  • A response demonstrating that my correspondence had been read and understood.

  • Appropriate recognition of my dissatisfaction with the support experience.

  • Professional handling of my feedback regarding the loss of my confidence in the brand.

  • Escalation to an appropriate department if the representative was unable to address the complaint personally.

Instead, I received an impersonal message discussing subjects entirely unrelated to my case.

For a company with Razer's reputation, market presence, and premium product positioning, I consider this standard of customer service deeply disappointing.

6. My request for management intervention

I am formally requesting the following:

  1. That the complete correspondence associated with my original support case be reviewed by a Customer Relations Manager or appropriate supervisor.

  2. That Francis's handling of my correspondence, particularly his final response, be assessed against Razer's internal customer service and quality assurance standards.

  3. That the company determine whether the use of an irrelevant, apparently standardized response was consistent with its expectations for professional customer support.

  4. That appropriate internal corrective measures, including coaching, additional training, or other action deemed necessary by management, be considered following that assessment.

  5. That I receive a written, case-specific acknowledgement of this complaint, rather than another generic response.

  6. That this complaint be formally documented as a customer service quality issue, distinct from my original product warranty claim.

I am not requesting financial compensation, another replacement, or preferential treatment.

Nor am I attempting to dictate an individual employee's disciplinary outcome. That responsibility belongs to Razer's management.

However, I do expect the quality of service provided in this case to be taken seriously and appropriately reviewed.

7. Final remarks

I would like to emphasize that the defective mouse itself is no longer the central issue.

BRACK has already demonstrated that the matter could be handled promptly and professionally.

What remains unresolved is my profound dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from Razer's customer support.

I purchased a premium product from a brand I trusted. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has completely undermined that trust.

Francis's final response was particularly damaging because it demonstrated precisely the lack of attentiveness and meaningful customer engagement that I had already criticized.

I sincerely hope that Razer's management understands why receiving an irrelevant, seemingly copy-and-paste response to a detailed complaint is not merely disappointing, but can make a customer feel that their time, concerns, and loyalty have absolutely no value.

As previously communicated, I have no intention of purchasing another Razer product.

I request that this complaint be formally escalated and that its receipt and referral to the appropriate department be confirmed in writing.

Please also ensure that the complete original correspondence is preserved and made available to the person responsible for reviewing this matter.

I look forward to receiving a professional response that addresses the actual substance of my complaint.

Kind regards,

Rúben Filipe Vargas
