Ghost Display/Fuzzy Screen

When I close out of a window like Google Chrome/Spotify/Microsoft Teams etc the window itself closes but the visual of the window remains ghosted on my screen. It also prevents me from watching anything full screen because remnants of previous scenes from whatever I'm watching remain in a fuzzy/ghost overlapping with the next scenes. I tried changing the refresh rate and that didn't help it. Any advice/help is welcomed and appreciated! Thanks!
