Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to Razer Support and the community regarding an out-of-the-box hardware failure on a brand new Razer BlackWidow V4 X.
The keyboard was purchased on October 6, 2026 (06:35 AM) at the Dufry / Avolta Duty Free shop at Rio de Janeiro Airport (GIG) by my partner as a gift for me. I have the official purchase receipt/proof of purchase readily available.
Device Information
-
Model: Razer BlackWidow V4 X
-
Serial Number (S/N): (removed for security purposes)
-
Purchase Date: October 6, 2026
-
Purchased From: Dufry / Avolta (Rio de Janeiro Airport, Brazil)
-
Proof of Purchase: Original store receipt on hand (issued in my partner's name)
-
Current Location: Argentina
Issue Description
From the very first time I plugged the keyboard into my workstation and initialized it with Razer Synapse, the device has exhibited severe key ghosting and registration issues.
Specifically:
-
Keystrokes frequently fail to register when typing at normal speeds or pressing multi-key combinations.
-
Key signals either drop entirely or fail to trigger proper scan codes, which is completely abnormal for a gaming mechanical keyboard with dedicated N-key rollover / anti-ghosting matrices.
-
The issue persists across different USB ports, without USB hubs, and across clean environments (with and without Razer Synapse running in the background), pointing directly to a factory hardware defect on the controller/PCB matrix.
Request
Given that the device is brand new, well within the manufacturer's warranty window, and I am based in Argentina:
-
I would like assistance in opening an official RMA case for a unit replacement.
-
I would like to know the standard procedure and logistics for warranty replacements for users located in Argentina.
I can immediately provide photos of the serial number label, a digital scan of the original receipt, and short video recordings documenting the ghosting behavior if needed by the support team.
Thanks in advance for your assistance
