HDR locks computer up

I have a Razer Blade 15" with RTX 2070 Max-Q 8GB, i7, and the 4K OLED display.. everytime i go into settings and turn on HDR the whole system locks up.. ive tried restarting it and its at a snails pace and doesnt respond to commands, clicks, or anything.. the only thing that works is to unplug it (which turns of HDR on battery) get my mouse cursor right over the on/off toggle for hdr and keep clicking it as i plug it in to turn it off and return to normal.. anyone else have these issues?
