Dear: razer support office,

I am texting you on regards to a mouse I purchased, it scrolls great, it clicks stuff and when I hover over stuff it highlights it, even shows clicking when I click but for some reason, it won't select anything I would love to keep this mouse but I tried for 7 days to fix this issue but nothing seems to be working, I can't config my mouse if I can't select the button on the screen. I am starting to crash out and I want to know how to fix this. I am not sure about if it's my computer or if it is just the software or what. But can you  please help me with this issue. Thanks

Brad Van Alten

Hi  AimedArmchair,

I understand that you’re having issues with your mouse not actually selecting anything even though it scrolls, highlights, and shows clicks. To help us narrow this down, could you share a bit more detail:

  • Does this happen everywhere (desktop, browser, games, other apps), or only in certain programs?
  • Have you tried another mouse on the same computer, and if so, did that one work normally?
  • Is your Basilisk V3 plugged directly into the PC, or through a USB hub/adapter?

Here are a few basic steps to try in the meantime:

  1. Unplug the mouse and plug it into a different USB port.
  2. Restart your PC and test again.
  3. If you have Razer Synapse installed, close it completely, reopen it, and check if the issue is still there.
  4. In Synapse, make sure none of the mouse buttons are set to “Disable” or to unusual functions like keyboard shortcuts.
  5. If possible, test the mouse on a different computer to see if the same problem occurs.

Feel free to PM me your device’s serial number and your region so I can verify its model and assist you further. All the best!
