Here we go again....Basilisk Ultimate not charging | Razer Insider

Brand new (two days old) Basilisk Ultimate not charging with the supplied USB cable. I didn't get the optional charging base, because I heard there were some issues there. Received it yesterday and "charged" it overnight. I was using it today and after a few hours, Synapse prompted me that my battery was low. I thought that was weird since I just charged it and only had about three hours of use time. Tried charging on the wall and four different USB ports on my PC. Tried to do a firmware update, but after it confirms the dongle and prompts me to plug the mouse in, it doesn't seem to be recognizing it. The "next" button stays greyed out. I really do love this mouse so far, but this is unacceptable after only two days of ownership. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ok. I figured it out. With this plug, you have to apply a lot more force than I was using. I don't know about other charging plugs, but mine has one "click" like its seated. I was getting momentary charging, but it would stop. There was a small gap (think girthy business card) between the body of the mouse and the charging plug. Just for fun, I really pushed on it and it sank the rest of the way. Long story short, I was just being a wimp. Seriously though, the amount of force required to seat the plug was very surprising. It sounds rude and insulting to recommend "Make sure its plugged in all the way.", but that was the issue. Push hard. That's what she said.
