I'm getting high temperatues and with that high fan speeds when just browsing the web with Chrome, and it gets REALLY warm and really loud when I don't do anything for a couple of minutes.

At the same time CPU load is only at around 5%.

I've had the laptop for about 4 months, and it was fine until a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't installed any software recently, in either case nothing particular is showing up in Processes, except "System", which takes 3-5%.

Anyone with similar issues and a solution?
It could be a thermal paste issue, but it's too soon to tell. Which app are you using to monitor the temps, and do you mind sending me a screenshot of it in idle? I'd appreciate it if you can send me the serial number and a screenshot of your MSINFO32 so I can look into BIOS and firmware updates. For now, make sure that all drivers are up-to-date and try switching performance modes on Synapse.
