Horizontal lines won't go away from bottom of screen

I was playing a game when I started noticing the bottom of my screen looking kind of funny. It kept coming and going, but got to the point where I couldn’t access some of the game functions at the bottom of the screen. Thought it was a glitch in the game but the lines are still there.

I’ve tried updating windows, updating graphics drivers, doing a system restore, etc. It’s starting to seem like a hardware issue but wanted to see if there’s any other solutions I haven’t tried/how to proceed if it is hardware. I’ve had this Razer 15 for a year.

Side note: As I was typing this the lines have gotten clearer, so I don’t know if that’s a good thing?

Hi, Katherine! I am Having the same problem here on my Razer Blade 17 (2021). It started around 7 months ago. Were you able to solve this in any way?

I am and many people I know who own this model is having this issue and still trying to find a solution. The best one so far is to make sure your laptop is nice and warm and cycling it from asleep to awake to refresh the screen but haven't found any permanent solutions yet. I think it is just a mass produced hardware defect in all of these laptops.

Mine is Blade 15 Advance 2070 SuperMax. This exact issue has been happening to me for the past year. The only temporary solution, and only if I’m lucky, is coming back from sleep *might* make it go away until the next time.

I’ve tried cleaning the screen attachment cable and it doesn’t work.

Mine is showing the exact same behaviour. Cleaning the cables didn’t help either. As I can see in the comments to this topic, the issue hppens to multiple generations of Razer Laptops which means it’s very likely to appear in new machines as well. Maybe some hardware driver update would fix it (Motherboard/BIOS).
