How can a mouse key change lighting and run a macro at the same time?

I have a shortcut key "ctr + shift + <", it turn's on/off the microphone, I want to bind it to a key and by changing of the lighting see if the micro is on or off. For example red means micro off and green means micro on. Is that possible? Many thanks.
