How do I turn off razer desktop image on my windows 10. It doesn't show up on the background settings page

When I got a new Razer Keyboard and installed it, it immediately took over my desktop image and nothing I seem to do will remove it.

When background pic is changed, it lasts about 5 sec then fades and is taken over by the Razer background, very annoying.

Please, someone help.

Download the Razer Axon app and then you can delete / disable the wallpaper from there.

The above response is only partially correct. One of the dark patterns when you install Synapse 4 is an overzealous attempt to get you to install Razer Axon, which will hijack your wallpaper. Razer really wants you to install and use this mediocre desktop customization app. You probably installed it along with Synapse, not realizing that you were doing so. It is essentially placing an overlay over your desktop which is why changing things in Windows settings appears to have no effect (it does, but it’s covered up by Axon).

The good news is that by uninstalling Razer Axon, this will go away and never come back (unless you reinstall Axon). Further, Synapse is not dependent on Axon in any way, so you will retain full customization control over your keyboard.

Settings app > Apps > Installed Apps > Find Razer Axon > Menu (dots on the right-hand side) > Uninstall

I wasn’t sure which app was controlling the action!  Thanks!

It just updated and did the same thing hijacking my background. Removing Axon fixed it thanks.
