How does band steering work in Sila

Hi, when I setup my Sila with band steering, so that I have one unique SSID for my 2.4 and 5 GHz networks, my PC which works very well with the 5GHz, get the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. I need to un-steer my wifies and directly connect to the 5GHz to get the fast connection. How can I force Sila to either always give the best it can. Or how can I define which MACs should be using 5GHz unless not present. Thanks a lot for any advice.
