How to ACTUALLY disable auto-standby on Nommo Pro V1 (NOT V2) | Razer Insider

Opening a new topic on this since the original one (https://insider.razer.com/topic/show?tid=180&fid=10) is closed and has invalid information on top of it.

For starters the “fix” from the Master Guide that was posted by csuntico is not a fix. It’s the instructions on how to turn the unit on. They state “disable standby mode” in the manual but that’s because what the unit does is power on into standby mode and then you push power on the control pad to turn it on, this is not what I am looking for.

I want to permanently disable auto standby as it is stupid, disruptive, and breaks a lot of audio recording software and DAWs that are not expecting speaker devices to just disappear from the system.

The comments about “it’s in the SETTINGs tab” are also not relevant to the V1 Nommo Pro, only the V2 has that tab. V1 only has SOUND and LIGHTING tabs. I’m not going to buy a Nommo Pro V2 because they are clearly an inferior set, and I’m not sure why they are called V2 of the Nommo Pro - they don’t even have dedicated tweeters which is part of what makes the sound quality on the V1 so good.

So - Accurate answers only here please. How the hell do we turn auto-standby off? I refuse to think the firmware developers did not think people would need to disable this “feature” and then also did not provide updated firmware with a fix when it became clear that people hated it. There is no documented way to do this in the manual either. I’ve read people saying you hold down power on the control module for 10 seconds, but I’ve not had any success with this either.

I’d like to be able to disable the standby mode too.  I’ll be glad to pay the higher electricity bill as well.

I was able to finally get my Nommo Pro V1 to stay out of standby mode.  For me, it took installing the app for Apple iPhone and navigating to the proper setting from within that app.

Confirmed there is a setting for this in the android app also, make sure you get the “Nommo Pro” not “Audio” Razer app. 2 clicks then hold the 3rd on the source button until Bluetooth source LED starts flashing on the controller, pair it in the app, settings in the top right, click the (i) next to Razer Nommo Pro, disable Auto Shut Down. What a “don’t you guys own phones!?” journey this has been.

If I could, I would kiss you for making this post. Thank you so much for helping end my push-button nightmare.
