How to change color for individual keys

I have Cynosa Light Keyboard, Synapse 3, no matter what effect layer I choose there is a green border around the entire keyboard, see image, and I have no way of selecting individual keys. The Ctrl key does not help under Selector, click and drag does give dash box and when I let go nothing happens and all the keys for keyboard are still selected. Pen and Paint does not work either for selection. I am stuck with entire keyboard selection. I tried Uninstalling and Reinstalling Synapse as well. Please Help!
