How to enable function key to use f1-f12

My function key used to work and adjust brightness, volume, etc using function key + f1 - F12. Now it is not working, it only works during start up and then doesnt work after a while. Is there a way to fix this?

    I have the same problem with my blade 14. Did you resolve your function key issue?
