How to record NV12 uncompressed video with Kiyo Pro

Using my Kiyo Pro to record videos for my blog. Not streaming.

I want to squeeze all the quality I can out of it.

The product page (https://www.razer.com/ca-en/streaming-cameras/razer-kiyo-pro/RZ19-03640100-R3U1#specs) states that this camera can output NV12 over USB 3,  and H.264 over USB 2.

When I use the camera in my recording software, the image quality isn’t great and it saves as H.264. I’m intentionally not saying with app I’m using because I don’t want the discussion to be about that app.

(1) Has anybody had any success recording in NV12 using the Kiyo Pro, and if so, with what app?

(2) Does anybody know of an app that would allow me to watch what is being captured by the camera AND verify that it is indeed an NV12 stream?

I am wrestling with the same thing. OBS is terrible for trying to record video. Even if you set it for looseless the quality is in the toilet. I’ve tried over a dozen pieces of software and so far the best quality I’ve found is the windows default camera app. The one that comes with windows. The quality isn’t perfect and I have very little control but it is far better than any other software I’ve tried to record with which is just sad.
