Huntsman Elite: Multimedia buttons/volume dial stopped working

SDINIO

Hello,

As the title says, my multimedia buttons have stopped working/responding. The dial works, however instead of it controlling the volume it is set to scroll. I have already checked and redid the bindings for it, but it doesn’t correspond to the setting. It also still does not work when Synapse is closed. I have deleted the keyboard from device manager, reinstalled the firmware, and deleted and reinstalled Synapse 4.

Interestingly, the keyboard works as intended when connected to my laptop, which makes me think this is some sort driver/firmware issue.

Solution -- After talking to Microsoft Support and restoring my computer to an earlier date, the problem has been resolved. Not sure if this means this is purely an issue with the latest update from Microsoft, or some sort of incompatibility with the driver/firmware for the Huntsman Elite with the new update. Either way, I have owned the Huntsman Elite for more than 4 years without issue so this was surprising. I hope this is fixed as I will have to update eventually!

Edit: Also, would like to add that I suspect it could also be an issue with Synapse 4 as I updated it before the problems started.

After testing some things, and uninstalling recent Windows updates, I have noticed that the multimedia button/dial sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t? After uninstalling the Windows updates it restored full function of my keyboard, but then it stopped working after about 5 minutes and also after I plugged in my microphone? Then, I unplugged my microphone and restarted my PC. the dial worked for maybe 5 seconds before stopping function alongside the multimedia buttons.

Any help would be appreciated.
