Hi Razer Support,
I’m having a recurring issue with my Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Mini 65% 8KHz.
During normal use, the keyboard will randomly stop registering all keyboard inputs. When this happens, the RGB lighting remains on, so the keyboard is still receiving power, but none of the keys respond.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard may temporarily restore functionality, but the same issue keeps happening again after some time. It has become frequent enough that the keyboard is no longer reliable for normal use.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Updated the keyboard to the latest firmware
- Reduced polling rate from 8000 Hz to 1000 Hz
- Connected the keyboard directly to the rear motherboard USB ports
- Tried different rear USB ports
- Disabled USB power-saving settings for the relevant USB Root Hub
- Tested without Razer Synapse running
- Completely uninstalled Razer Synapse / Razer software
- Restarted the PC after removing the Razer software
Unfortunately, the issue still occurs even after all of the above troubleshooting.
The main symptom is always the same:
Keyboard RGB remains on → all keyboard input suddenly stops → reconnecting the keyboard temporarily restores input.
Since the firmware, polling rate, USB port, USB power management, and Synapse/software have already been tested or ruled out, I’m concerned that this may be a hardware, USB controller, or keyboard PCB issue.
Could Razer Support please advise on the next step? If this indicates a hardware defect, I would like to proceed with a warranty replacement / RMA.
I can provide:
- Serial number
- Proof of purchase
- Firmware version
- Video showing the issue
- Additional system information if required
Thank you.
