I’m having a strange issue with my Razer Keyboard and I’m hoping someone here can help me figure it out.
The keyboard works perfectly in the BIOS, but as soon as Windows starts, it completely stops working.
My setup:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- GPU: RTX 5090D
- Motherboard: MSI X870E Tomahawk WiFi
- Windows 11 25H2
- Razer Huntsman v3 HE Magnetic Tenkezyless 8KHZ
What I have already tested:
- Keyboard works normally in BIOS.
- As soon as Windows loads, the keyboard stops responding and the led turns off.
- It is not detected in Device Manager.
- It is also not visible as a hidden device in Device Manager.
- Inside of USB Tree Viewer the usb port shows either an unidentified device or nothig.
- I tested every USB port on the motherboard, including USB-A and USB-C.
- I tested the high-speed USB-C 40 Gbps ports as well.
- I tested two completely different Windows installations.
- The problem occurs on both Windows installations.
- Windows is fully updated.
- I updated the keyboard software from version 1.0.11 to 1.01.09.
- ErP is disabled in BIOS.
- I completely unplugged and reconnected the keyboard.
- The keyboard works perfectly when connected to another PC also using Win11 25H2.
Because the keyboard works in BIOS and on another PC, but fails immediately after Windows starts on this PC, I’m wondering if this could be related to the motherboard USB controller, Windows USB drivers, or some Razer software/firmware issue.
Note: I have tested everything twice with the synapse app installed and unistalled
I’m happy to provide Device Manager screenshots, USBTreeView information, BIOS settings, or anything else that could help diagnose the issue.
