Huntsman v3 Pro Mini can't save profile to keyboard without Synapse

I picked up a Huntsman V3 Pro Mini and I am unable to save my profile with my custom actuation points / rapid trigger / lighting to the keyboard. The only way my profile works is if I run  synapse running 24/7. If I close synapse my profile goes away or if I cold boot and don’t have synapse to run on start-up then it doesn’t save it and/or won’t have lights. I wan’t to save my custom actuaion point with rapid trigger on and the lighting to the board without being forced to run synapse 24/7, is this just not possible? I thought this keyboard advertised on-board memory?  I have also reinstalled synapse, tried synapse 4, reset the keyboard, tried dragging around my profile on the memory to override an existing profile, basically everything and it seems like I can’t save my settings to the keyboard (like literally every other company lets you do) and requires synapse to be running always.
