Huntsman V3 TKL 8KHz onboard profile resets when switching PCs or OS — is this intentional?

I bought two Huntsman V3 Tenkeyless 8KHz keyboards today.

One of the main reasons I bought them was because I had seen reviews mentioning support for Synapse Web. I thought this would finally let me get away from being forced to install bloated software like Synapse 3/4 and allow me to save all of my settings directly to the keyboard’s onboard memory.

Unfortunately, I discovered what seems to be a serious issue, and I’m already regretting the purchase.

If I configure the keyboard exactly the way I want in Synapse Web, everything works fine and the settings remain intact even after rebooting the PC.

However, the moment I connect the keyboard to another PC, or boot into a different OS on the same PC using a multiboot setup, the entire onboard profile gets reset.

That completely defeats the purpose of having an onboard profile in the first place.

If this is a bug, I really hope Razer fixes it as soon as possible.

But if this behavior is intentional, I’ll most likely return these keyboards and go back to Corsair or Wooting. If “onboard memory” only works reliably on the same Windows installation, then I personally have no reason to keep using Razer products.

After installing and uninstalling Synapse 4, reconfiguring various settings in Synapse Web, and repeating the process a few times, it seems to be working normally now.

I’m not sure what caused the issue in the first place.
