HyperPolling Dongle Bricked After Firmware Update – No LED, Pairing Failed, Synapse Still Detects

Hello, I’m looking for help with a HyperPolling Wireless Dongle that appears to have been bricked after a firmware update.

Here is exactly what happened:

  • I updated the firmware on my HyperPolling dongle through Razer Synapse.
  • After the update completed, the dongle stopped showing any LED at all when plugged in.
  • Razer Synapse still detects the dongle, but it will not pair or transmit wirelessly.
  • When I attempt to pair, Synapse always returns “Pairing Failed.”
  • My DeathAdder V3 Pro works perfectly when connected via USB (wired), so the mouse itself is not the issue.
  • I have tried:
    • Multiple USB ports (rear motherboard ports included)
    • Power cycling my PC
    • Unpairing and re-pairing
    • Forcing pairing mode on the mouse
    • Firmware recovery attempts
  •
  • Nothing restores the dongle’s LED or wireless function.

At this point, the dongle is completely unusable wirelessly despite being detected by Synapse. This appears to be a firmware-induced partial brick.

I am also unable to locate the serial number on the HyperPolling dongle, and it seems many other users have this same issue, which is preventing me from submitting a standard warranty claim.

Could a Razer moderator please assist with:

  • Verifying this as a firmware failure
  • And issuing a dongle-only replacement / RMA?

I just had this happen to me and I figured id post what worked for me since this post has zero replies. I had the exact same thing happen to me, try to update firmware and after it was done there was no led and the mouse wasnt paired to it and then the pairing failed when attempted. What I did was I updated the firmware of the mouse itself using its own specific firmware updater. To pair it I clicked pair/scan with the mouse plugged into a usb, unplugged the mouse and then it paired and the led on the dongle came back on. For reference, my mouse is a Deathadder v3 pro. Hope this helps.
