I bought a VR headset, but I don't have a DP output. Can it work? | Razer Insider

Hi there. I have 2020 Razer Blade 15 base Rz09-03519 and I Impulsively bought myself a Pico 3 neo link VR headset as a Christmas present. It will arrive in a couple of days. I bought this particular headset so I could send the image uncompressed from my pc to my headset as I don't have fast internet. However I misunderstood what a DP connection was and my laptop doesn't have a DP output (only HDMI). It has Usb-C ports too but these are not thunderbolt.

I've seen mixed opinions online whether an active converter could work in this case, so I'd like professional advice. Obviously the Pico 3 can also be used wirelessly but I was hoping to avoid that, and besides for wireless gaming the Pico 4 is now a better choice at the same price, so if I can't make use of the DP connection I will return the the unit.

Open to general advice on the best way to get PCVR running on this laptop. I'm new to all this and I can't afford the more expensive equipment but if there's a decent way to get it working I would love to be able to play Half Life Alyx etc.

Thank you!
