So I recently got synapse 3 for my razer blackshark v2. After installing, I can no longer hear my friends in discord, but they can still hear me. The only way to use discord is to either use my pc speakers or use discord on my web browser. Can someone plz help me?

I can also still hear the discord sounds, such as when I join a call and mute myself, I just can't hear people speak.
go to your discord sound output and change it to the option that isn't 7.1 surround or default, same issue happened to me. if you don't have 7.1 surround set up it wont allow you to hear things, and that is what discord defaults to if your headset supports 7.1 surround sound.
Have you set the following:
1) Set the Blackshark as Default device in the Razer Synapse app, under Mixer tab. (if applicable)
2) Set Razer Blackshark (Headset Earphone) as Default Communication Device (mine as an example below):
3) Define Input/Output in Discord Voice Settings (mine as an example below):
