I have a Black Widow Elite and the volume jumps up on its own... | Razer Insider

I have a Black Widow Elite and the volume jumps up on its own.  I will be going to a video on a website or even in the middle of the game and the volume level jumps from 20 to 80(give or take 15 in either direction).  Nothing is touching the volume wheel, so it's not like I accidentally bumped it and caused it to turn.  This is obviously going on at the software level as nothing is affecting the hardware...unless there is a failure in the hardware causing this...I don't know what the problem is.  I also have another problem...my escape key stopped working.  I found a site where it tests your hardware and you can click on a key and if it is working, the key on the keyboard on the screen lights up.  The ESC key doesn’t light up.  Everything else, besides the volume issue, is working just fine. I have had my keyboard for more than a few years and I absolutely love it. Could this just be my keyboard is dying and I need to replace it?  That is something I am trying to avoid as money is tight these days. I’m a retired disabled vet surviving on disability...it really sucks being poor LOL.  So I am hoping the volume issue, at least, is a software fix...maybe a miracle and so is the Escape key...but I understand that may be a stretch.  The ESC key is more of a PIA issue as I am on a laptop and can use the ESC key on the laptop. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

I have the same problem on my blackwidow elite! volume suddenly jumps to the max level or min level without even touching it. it's so frustrating!! I tried to deactivate the volume function thinking that it would not have any control but still the same… everything in  this keyboard is really nice… why get it ruined? sad :(

I too have the same problem and mine started shortly out of the box after an update to the keyboard. I have been searching now for about 2 years for an answer and have found nothing. Hopefully Razer will see this and solve this problem.
