I want to check the warranty period of the mouse

labBlondsolo617

My friend gave me a Razer mouse, I used it for a long time playing FPS games. Currently it has a faulty mouse wheel, but I don't know if it's still under warranty or not. Can anyone help me check?

I believe it is only possible with the invoice.
Ask your friend if he bought it online.
These online companies usually give the option to view the order history and print it again, via digital PDF, the invoice. The warranty is normally 2 years from the date of purchase. That's why the invoice is so important.

I contacted my friend, but he no longer has the receipt. Can I check the warranty period using the serial number?

Not possible, unless mouse bought directly from Razer.com and have additional Razer Care warranty. So without receipt, you do nothing unfortunately.

Did he buy from a physical store or online?

Also sometimes receipt is not required. For e.g. some shops (or even in some countries) they honor transaction history (from credit card).
